Lewis and Cecilia take on Pennywise the Dancing Clown and discuss IT: Chapter 2 which reunites the Losers Club, 27 years after they first sent Pennywise into hibernation. Lewis shares his view on Animals, an untamed female friendship dramedy. They also discuss the trailer for the upcoming film Jojo Rabbit from the mind of Taika Waititi. The film is set during World War Two and centres on a young German boy whose only ally is his imaginary friend Hitler.
Another week of film releases gives the team plenty to discuss. This week they tackle Angle of Mine, a psychological thriller starring Noomi Rapace, Jennifer Kent’s graphic film The Nightingale which is set in Van Diemen’s Lands in 1825, and The Farewell, a film based on an actual lie. They also share their thoughts on the new Joker trailer.
And Action! This week, Lewis and Cecilia review two films, each clocking in at close to 3 hours in length. First up is Midsommar, the new Folk Horror from Ari Aster who shocked audiences last year with his film Hereditary. The verdict: Midsommar ups the shock factor. Both Lewis and Cecilia share their thoughts on Quentin Tarantino’s 9th film, Once Upon a Time In Hollywood. The verdict: see this film!
Lewis and Rachele attempt what could be the first-ever interactive podcast, but things don’t quite work out. Never mind, they quickly move on. First up, Lewis shares his excitement for the upcoming cartoon version of The Addams Family. They also review Mindy Kaling’s new film, Late Night starring Kaling and Emma Thompson. The film is inspired by Kaling’s real experiences as the only female writer on The Office. Rachele also reviews Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, the ninth film from writer-director Quentin Tarantino which features an ensemble cast, multiple storylines and pays tribute to the final moment of Hollywood’s golden age. They end the show with a discussion on what their watching on Netflix and other streaming services including the final season of Orange Is the New Black.
With a new Fast and Furious Film speeding into cinemas, the team share their thoughts on new extreme action flick led by Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham. Rachele and Ada also review The Public, Emilio Estevez’ latest film which centres around a group of homeless patrons, who refuse to leave public library amid a cold front in Cincinnati.
It’s not a boring time for cinema releases with so much to see! This week the team review Camino Skies, the inspirational journey of 6 people who embark on the historic 800km Spanish pilgrimage, Camino De Santiago. They also review Art and Mind, which looks at the human mind and its influence of art, and Who you Think I am, a psychological thriller, starring Juliette Binoche, exploring the issue of Catfishing from the predators perspective.
Special guest star, of Dis Down Under, Kat joins Rachele and Lewis to review the live-action remake of the Lion King. They also review White Crow - directed by Ralph Fiennes - which tells the story of ballet legend Rudolph Nureyev and his escape to the west in the early ’60s at age 23.
With a diverse range of films to talk about, the team waste no time (maybe just a little) and get down to it. It seems to be ladies night with two films and a web series all written, directed and starring women, including Hot Mess, Booksmart and Single Ladies, respectively. Olivia Wilde’s directorial debut Booksmart, a coming of age comedy starring Kaitlyn Dever and Beanie Feldstein, gets the tick approval from the team. They also review Stuber; a film about a man named Stu who drives an Uber, starring Kumail Nanjiani and Dave Bautista, and a film called the Great Buster about one of the greatest screen comedians of all time, Buster Keaton.
Lewis and Cecilia take a guess at what the film Stuffed is about while Cecilia discovers that a chupacabra isn’t a real animal, oh, and yes they also review some films. Lewis shares his thoughts on Spider-Man: Far From Home and Cecilia reviews acclaimed director Bong Joon-ho’s new thriller Parasite, using a scientific term to try and explain the film without giving too much away. To wrap things up the team also discuss a few films they would like to see remade.
With a variety of films showing, Lewis and Cecilia tackle some of the more indie flicks currently on offer. Lewis reviews Never Look Away, a historical drama loosely based on one of the 20th century’s most admired artists, Gerard Richter and Under the Silver Lake, a neo-noir mystery from the director of IT Follows. Both Cecilia and Lewis also dish their thoughts on the new Child’s Play, a contemporary reimagining of the original.
Despite poor reviews for both Tolkien and Men and Black: International, Lewis, Rachele and Cecilia have differing opinions! Find out what they had to say about the J.R Tolkien biopic, exploring the formative years of the acclaimed author, and the MIB reboot starring Tessa Thompson, Chris Hemsworth and Liam Neeson.
Lewis and Rachele delve into reviews for light-hearted comedy, My Big Fat Gay Italian Wedding which delivers an important message, British spy film Red Joan, starring Judi Dench and X-Men Dark Phoenix. They also discuss some upcoming films which are expected to hit movie theatres soon!
Australian comedian, film director, screenwriter and author Tim Ferguson joins Rachele, Lewis and Cecilia to discuss his latest solo comedy show: A Fast Life on Wheels. The show partly details his experience with Multiple Sclerosis among other things. The team also review Rocketman, the highly anticipated Sir John Elton autobiography starring Taron Egerton, Godzilla II and German film 100 Things.

Cecilia reviews Seth Rogen’s new comedy Long Shot before both her and Rachele discuss Acute Misfortune, based on the adaptation of Erik Jensen’s acclaimed biography on infamous prize-winning artist Adam Cullen.
